Terms & Conditions

This agreement is for the regular use of a room by you and does not create any property rights.

Use of Rooms and Conduct of Clients

The consulting rooms at Brighton Consulting Rooms (BCR) are to be used in a professional manner. To ensure that we are all good neighbours to each other when working, we ask that each occupant takes personal responsibility for the general safety and behaviour of their clients, particularly in the common areas. Please note: Pets are not allowed in the building.

Appointments run from the hour for 50 minutes allowing time for changeover with another therapist. If you need to have a full hour or just over then you will need to book and pay for 2 hours. Equally if you start on the half hour then you will need to book and pay for two hours.

Please use the engaged/vacant notice on your door. When leaving the building, please check other doors and, if the building is empty, ensure that outside doors are closed behind you. Please also check that if you are the last to leave the building that the thermostat in the reception area is turned dow, all lights are turned off, and if using rooms 5 and 6 ensure that the electric heating has been turned off.

Access to BCR premises

A key fob will be provided for your use for a £10.00 returnable deposit. If mislaid, you must let us know immediately. If the security of the premises has been compromised, this may require replacement of the locks for which you will be liable. Please do not under any circumstances put the address on any key ring or fob

Cleaning and Maintenance

BCR management will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the rooms (the rooms and common parts will be cleaned twice weekly), and for the provision of clean towels, tissues, lavatory paper and cleaning materials.

It is a condition of the use of the rooms that they are left clean and tidy at the end of each session, and in the state in which you would expect to find them: This is a courtesy both to our colleagues and to our clients.

Should you have cause to complain about the condition in which you find the room at any time, please bring this to our attention.

Breakages and indelible marks should be reported immediately. 

Parking

There are two car parking spaces nearest our wall that are paid for by BCR. One of the spaces is for therapists or clients with mobility problems that would need to park outside. 

Bookings and Cancellations

BCR operates an on-line system for room bookings and cancellations. You can cancel a booking without charge up to 48 hours before the start of the booking. The latest cancellation date and time will be shown on your booking confirmation email.

In order for us to maintain this cancellation system, which is convenient and helpful for practitioners, we do ask that it is treated with respect. Repetitive late cancellations that lead to the rooms not being used on a regular basis should be avoided and if this occurs this will need to be addressed.

We reserve the right to charge a fee for the training room if cancelled at short notice. 

Room Hire Rates

Rates are reviewed on an annual basis with one month’s notice given of any changes. 

Invoicing and Methods of Payment

You will be invoiced for the rooms used at the end of each month and payment is expected within two weeks of receipt of the invoice.

The preferred method of payment is by BACS Transfer. Cheques are also accepted.

Contract Termination

Without prejudice to the above, contracts can be terminated by one month’s notice in writing by either party.
