Creative Arts Psychotherapist specialising in Dramatherapy Specialising in Adoption and Special Guardianship, Transracial Adoption and Racialised Trauma. Working with Children, Adolescents, DDP Parent-Child work and with Adults Lucy also creates bespoke Therapeutic Theatre Performances and workshops within organisations and charities.

Lucy is a calm, kind and fun Creative Arts Psychotherapist and offers a different unique way for children and young people to express themselves. She brings a wealth of experience having worked in mainstream and special educational schools, alternative education provisions, CAMHS and in private practice. Lucy supports children and young people to find creative ways to communicate and to express themselves, which might include feelings or experiences they may find hard to put into words.

Lucy is committed to help understand and support children and young people, giving them the freedom to set their own pace to achieve happiness and empowerment. She supports children to find their own creative ways of working that are right for them. She gives them the opportunity to face their fears with bravery in a safe confidential space. Lucy also invites them to experience the freedom to laugh and to play alongside the work of the difficult issues they may be facing.

Lucy draws on her qualifications as a registered Dramatherapist, EMDR Trainer and Dyadic Developmental Practitioner informed (DDP) and has a special focus on adoption and foster care issues derived from her own personal experiences. She supports and collaborates with children who have been fostered, adopted and are under special guardianship and their parents/carers individually and together.

Lucy is unable to accept any private healthcare medical insurance for therapy referrals.

All Practitioners at Brighton Consulting rooms work independently and are responsible for ensuring they are insured and, where applicable, are members of approved professional bodies.
